Jordanian Duty Free achieves regional success with the opening of Jeddah Duty Free.
8,000 square meters of retail space combines global luxury with local identity Jeddah – September 17, 2025: Jeddah Duty Free (JADF), a joint venture between Jordan Duty Free, Heinmann, and Astra Group Saudi Arabia, announced the official opening of its new retail space at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah under the "Jeddah Duty Free" brand. JADF's role in this project reflects the company's expansion strategy, which prioritizes strengthening its presence in regional markets through strategic partnerships with major international companies. The company emphasized that this step represents a qualitative addition to its retail sector and opens new horizons for investment and development, serving the growth of tourism and trade in the region. The opening ceremony was attended by the Consul General in Jeddah, Ambassador Mohammed Hamid, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Jordan Duty Free Company, Ayman Al-Mufleh, CEO of the company, Engineer Haitham Al-Majali, and several members of the Board of Directors. The Chairman of the Board of Directors of Jeddah Airport inaugurated the store and cut the ribbon, emphasizing the deep Jordanian-Saudi relations and the Kingdom of Jordan's commitment to supporting regional investments and strengthening its role in the retail and tourism sectors. The project extends over an area of 8,000 square meters, spread between the southern (Terminal 1) and northern (Concourses 1), offering travelers a unique shopping experience that combines the finest international brands with authentic local identity. The new stores are divided into several sections, including cosmetics and perfumes, chocolate and gourmet foods, tobacco, souvenirs, fashion, accessories, and jewelry. The sales team is distinguished by its comprising local talent recruited from the Jordan Duty Free Company, in addition to selected talent from abroad, reflecting a highly professional character and a welcoming environment. The main store in Terminal 1 spans 6,000 square meters and includes: • A flagship store (Core Duty Free) • A travel and electronics store • A multi-brand fashion store • A dedicated eyewear, watch, and travel product store There are also standalone stores for a number of international brands, including Longchamp, Michael Kors, Swarovski, Boss, Ralph Lauren, Lacoste, and MCM (which is opening its first store in a Saudi airport). The traditional souk (market) reflects authentic Arab identity, offering local products such as dates, chocolates, nuts, and prayer rugs. Also notable in the fragrance category is the launch of the "Scents of Jeddah" collection, three exclusive fragrances created by perfume expert Majda Bakali specifically for Jeddah Duty Free, reflecting the spirit and charm of the city. The architectural designs of the stores are inspired by the elements of water, sky, earth, and the moon, offering visitors an immersive visual experience that reflects Jeddah's maritime and cultural environment.
